The Merrill Field Inn stands near downtown Anchorage, Alaska, the Native Heritage Center, international airport and the historical local airport from where the hotel gets its name. From the inn, outdoor adventure seekers can find opportunities for fishing, skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, boating, and a prime location for viewing the famous Iditarod dog-sleigh race.

Drive eastbound on W International Airport Road.
Head north on Minnesota Drive towards downtown Anchorage.
Keep right onto the Minnesota bypass, the road changes to "I" Street.
Turn right (east) onto W 6th Avenue for approximately 2 miles.
Turn left onto Sitka Street.
